Hi all
I think I read somewhere that if you leave the battery out for sometime on starting up again idle is very erratic, presumably managment system has fogotten what it's settings should be and has to relearn them.
I can get it idle by comming down very very slowly to it's proper idle speed, but it's very lumpy.
Will I have give it certain amount of time to relearn just idleling or give it a run, it dosn't have tax lol Cheesy

Thanks for that snoopy,
Although correct, not the answer I was hopping for, I'll have to work out a deal with the local constabulary. Roll Eyes

How long was the battery left off for ?

The tickover shouldn't be that bad when the battery is reconnected. Maybe the odd miss now & then until the PCM re-learns all its parameters, but nothing too serious  Smiley

Apart from a bad tickover being caused by a faulty idle control valve....if the engine hasn't run for a long while then it's possible that the fuel may have gone stale or moisture could have build up in the tank.

It's just a suggestion  Wink
