Have you made sure that the small black lead is connected to the battery? and are you sure the main connector is correctly located?.

check the PATS light on the dash, have you locked and unlocked the car?

You're getting ignition lights etc, just not cranking?

PATS light doesn't do anything, its not cranking at all.

All lights come on, the solenoid one comes on as normal aswell. If anything the new fuse box has solved the problem of the dodgy lights but now she won't start!

Drivers side fuse box. Have you had the main lead off?

Check that it is located correctly its easy to get it out of line.

Check the main relay for the ignition system and all the plugs for the fuse box are located correctly. If you haven't touched anything else it has to be either a relay or plug IMHO......

I fiddled with all the battery leads and the multi plugs to the box however found out why the dials went nuts, not enough power in the battery....a jump sorted this out. Still won't start mind so I'm going to try putting the old box in now.

Well i am officially thick and deserve a wooden spoon award.

After faffing the car is now running again with the old fuse box (again with dodgy lights etc)

However after I put the old on back in I looked at the too boxes and I figured out why it didnt work before.

The new box was out of an auto and had a relay for the auto box, of course I assumed I didnt need this and removed it. Silly me didnt realise that this would also need to be shorted in order for the car to start up. As on the original fuse box had a tiny piece of metal delivering the short.

I'm fuming at myself for not seeing this sooner, as I've waster around 10 hours messing only to be back to square one!!!!

Well I'll give it a shot next weekend hopefully I'll be successful!

Thanks for all your help

Sorry didnt explain that correctly, I know what I meant  Grin

Yep the manual is shorted, saw a manual one once with a homemade switch on the dash to enable/disable this, no idea why though Huh

Hi,the main box has to be accessed via the drivers footwell....remove the underdash felt and any soundproofing and undo the bolts  (10millies I think) that hold the fusebox in....disconnect the main multiplug next to the box and it should all pull away. Huh
