CAN SOMEONE HELP ME. I HAVE A 1995 SCORPIO TURBO DIESEL. I HAVE LOOKED THROUGH THE PAGES ON THE MAP SENSOR BUT CANNOT SEE THIS UNDER THE BONNET. THE CAR IS RUNNING LIKE IT IS ONLY ON TWO CYLINDERS AND HAS NO POWER WHATSOEVER. I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO TRY CHANGING THE FUEL FILTER, WHICH I HAVE DONE WITH NO CHANGE. I HAVE ALSO BEEN TOLD TO TRY REMOVING THE PIPE FROM THE FUEL PUMP TO THE FUEL TANK AND BLOW THAT OUT INCASE THERE IS ANYTHING INSIDE IT. GOT A MAP SENSOR FROM SCRAPYARD FROM A P REG CAR BUT IT LOOKS TOTALLY DIFFERENT. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT I CAN DO OR TRY. NEED THE CAR RUNNING PROPERLY ASAP AS MY NAN IN HOSPITAL 200 MILES AWAY FROM WHERE I LIVE AND NEED TO GO SEE HER.

Hello and welcome to the site Is it getting fuel to all cylinders? Does it run rough right through the rev range? Does it idle ok? Try unbolting the exhaust from the manifold and running it to see if you maybe have a blockage in the exhaust system.

THNKS FOR GETTING BACK TO ME. WILL HAVE A LOOK IN THE MORNING AT THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. IT REVVING ROUGH AS WELL AS IDLING BADLY. BEEN TOLD TONIGHT IT COULD BE SOMETHING TO DO WITH BOLTS COMING LOOSE ON CAMSHAFT ENABLING ONE OR MORE OF THE PUSHRODS TO BECOME DISLODGED. THEY TOLD US IT'S A KNOWN FAULT ON THIS ENGINE AS ITS GOT AN ALLOY HEAD AND THE HEAT MAKES THE ALLOY EXPAND AND LOOSEN THE BOLTS SO GOING TO CHECK THAT ALSO. THANKS AGAIN

have taken the rocker cover off and it appears that it was the push rods that had become dislodged. i have popped these back into place but the thin metal thing that sits on top between the bolt and push rods, one of the arms has snapped of it, anyone know where i can get one from??
