i have a small leak which drips off the sump protection tray at the back end,i no when to top up again when warning light comes on , problem is this is every day which is going to weaken antifreeze. as any body got any idears were to look, its fun owning a scorpio never a dull moment, dave

yep, take the tray off and look underneath Smiley
 
a few possibilities, rubber hoses round the thermostat, up through the NS cylinder head, heater hoses etc  
 
if its dripping you'll see where its coming from

Yes you can buy it ready mixed or you could just use the stuff you have and add water to it Smiley
 
The hose you are referring to is the one that goes up through the front of the NS cylinder head

Yes the cover needs to come off and some of the parts around the top of the engine but make sure thats what it is first before oyu start stripping stuff down

its the radiator the bottom is leaking and bowed were can i get one as any body got one. priced it up at ford £390.

The dreaded 'balooning Cosworth rad ' eh  Sad someone on here will sell you one,rads from other models can be fitted,some,eg 2.3 with slight pipe mods.

Any Scorpio radiator will do as long as its for an auto, the only real difference is the small extra pipe coming from the top of the 24v radiator that goes to the coolant tank.
 
Either block the pipe off or fit a coolant tank with only two hose connections instead of 24v's 3

all leaks fixed new waterpump fitted £150.82 worth rad fitted didnt need a stat it was fine cosie back on road again. thanks to you lads on here would love to meet you all but i live in lowestoft havent seen any meetings this way. dave
