Apologies if this is double posted, forum looks a little odd on my blackberry

But my speedo needle has spun round to the other side of the dial (on start up because my battery is a little flat)

Instead of returning to normal position, it dropped and now points downwards

How can I get it back to normal without taking it apart?

I'm miles from home!

It may be difficult if you don't have access to tools but it has been done by making a tiny hole in the clear cover, inserting a thin piece of wire and 'hooking' it back over the stop pin. Wink

Is it a dead needle until I can physically move back round? Sad

I can buy some tools if needed, though I'm guessing removing it all isn't a quick job Sad

It’s like a little electric motor that is driven clockwise, then anticlockwise during a reset.
It’s gone over the ledge at the bottom & doesn’t have enough umph to get back over the ledge.
Try doing a reset (turn on ignition, press and hold reset button on instrument cluster until it goes into diagnostic mode).
Turn off ignition, turn it back on & the needles will sweep round, when the rev counter reaches the stop (about to return to zero) give the top off the dash a clout & hopefully the speedo needle will jump the ledge & go back.
