COSSIE ('97') A/C Problem

Hi all, I noted that I had a fault with my A/C in my earlier Post regarding 'Condensation' but thought that I would post the problem as a separate item. I recently had a good 2nd-hand A/C Compressor fitted and went to get a Re-Gas at Kwik-Fit. But I was told there was a fault with a Valve used to re-gas the system (the valve is situated in the A/C pipe by the Damper strut and near to the bulkhead on the nearside) which can be clearly seen sticking up off the A/C pipe. I was told that the valve was leaking gas and that it needed to be repaired. I have had some replies but would like to put the problem out to a wider audience. If anybody can help me i.e. repair of the valve, replace the A/C pipe (new one expensive) with a 2nd hand pipe or any other fix that you think may help me and it would be much appreciated? Regards Gerryw
