2.5 TD Oil pressure switch

My oil pressure light is now permanently on.

Oil level is ok, fuel consumption unchanged, no oil leaks, no heavy black smoke.

I'd like to swap the oil pressure switch as a first attempt at finding the problem but I can't find it!!

Does anyone know where it's located?

Thanks,

Well, after the best part of two days and a visit to the local Ford dealer for a look at their exploded parts diagrams I still couldn't find the d**n switch!!

I stripped the connector blocks and wiring loom as per the picture but still no switch.....

There was a wire though.

Tracing it around the back the of the engine things became clearer.

We had to remove the heat shield and rear part of the turbo and hey presto, the switch.

A sod to get a socket on as it not metric, it's a 1" imperial and we had to machine 2mm off the socket barrel to get it past the metal pipe next to it.

I hope this helps anyone else looking for the switch.
