hi  all..someone mention a leaky petrol tank :mm!! Huh
 
I leant my son car today,although I had half a tank,he 'd topped it up too full, then realised he'd(I'd) had a leak.
Anyway, I ve never noticed before as I dont fuel to neck..  
 
Any going on here and how much.

rusty tank, very common if you don't preserve your car from rust once a year...  
 
look on ebay. NEW tank costs something like 100£ + 2h work and it's changed Wink
 
after changing the tank remember to preserve it and the whole car from rust.

might also be the reason why it got eaten by rust. fuel also preserves tanks from rust and when there's a certain place that is not covered by fuel it may get rusty much faster than the rest of the tank... u think why all Scorpio tanks have holes on the upper side...

Preserve it before you change it because it rusts around the filler neck,seldom where you can get at it when fitted.

Thanx for info guys...have checked ebay,£100 for a new tank sounds good 2 me.
 
I now have a wiper problem,just the link on the smaller arm.(about 12-15" long) came off..
 
these probs come in 3's? whats next.. Sad
 
to think I was gonna sell this too,hmmm.. Wink

The link arms for the wipers are only a few £'s from FMD Short Arm -  Finis 6 127 673  about £10
 
Long Arm -  Finis 6 127 684  about £10
