HELP! Rear Hub

Hi guys - re my post is Squeallng - I have had the same problem recently - though the issue was partly to do with the wheel bearing, it wasn't the only(nor the main) problem. The main problem is the driveshaft and CV joints - both ends of the driveshaft have CV Joints and gaitors, both gaitors were split and dry as a bone which is what was making the noise This is all true but there is now a major problem with the hub - where the bearing was bust, it has rattled around and ruined the hub. I have the front plate that I got from Snoopy but I am now desperate for the hub or bearing housing .... this part http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/images/clean%20bearinghousing.jpg I am getting married on Friday and have loads to do, we are supposed to leave for Cornwall on Saturday and I currently have no car! Can anyone help me get this part ? Thanks

Hi Freerein, I've replaced the rear wheel bearings on my scorp more often than the spark plugs and she has done 110K miles! The last time it happened it took out the hub (rotating part) but I've never had damage to the bearing carrier (as in your picture). Anyway, I have 2 old carriers that are ok. Only problem is they still have the old bearings in them (apart from some rust and dirt) which obviously will need re-newing.

| Pretty sure this part is the same as on a Sierra with rear disc brakes or the earlier Granada Scorpio. May help widen the search if you are going down the scrapyard route.
