hi guys, just noticed my engine loom is falling to pieces!!!!!!!! every connector for sensors, injectors has bare wires showing and some are even touching the wire next to it. i'm amazed car is still running ok. touch wood! how difficult is it to rewire engine loom? looks bit tight for access under plenum.

well cossie loom in comparison to 16v is a nightmare but still doable with a soldering iron and over 200m of wire.

It takes hours and if you do it, try to re-route the wires where possible outside. I know a couple of guys who have done it.

the loom on my cossie had to be totally rebuilt by my friend who is an electrical engineer.took him longer than he thought it would.i did give him another one to do ,which i got off one of the members,to do in his spare time just in case anyone on here needed one.i could find out if he got round to doing it if you wanted me to.
