engine fan always running on high speed

A few things are not quite all right with my Scorpio. I wonder if they are in any way connected. -a few months ago the aircon stopped working, in the beginning it would engage for a second and then switch off again. Now it won't engage at all any more. -the temperature gauge doesn't move up anymore. -the engine fan (I believe it is just one of them, will check) starts running at full speed a few seconds after starting. (this is becoming very annoying actually) I hope somebody can advise me on these problems.

1) hbc module failure 2) thermostat or faulty soldering on the instrument cluster, try hitting the dashboard pretty hard and see if the gauge moves, the instrument cluster might need resoldering 3)suggests thermostat failure, or fusebox/loom problem

Regarding the aircon problem read this page about 3/4 down..... http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/faultfinds.htm ...it may give some answers. There is always the chance that it may just need a re-gas As for the temperature guage not moving up anymore, this could just be a faulty temp guage sender. As for the fans coming on all the time (there are two )...could be a faulty fan relay (large green relay behind driver side headlight) or possibly a faulty engine coolant temperature sender (ECT), or could be related to the aircon problem. Hope this helps
