Hi all. I´m hoping at one point to be able to replace my 2,0 dohc 16valve engine with the largest possible engine for the scorpio ( as far as I know the 2,9 24v?) Is it possible to make arrangements with someone here who can renovate an engine for me ( with payment of course). I don´t have the nessecary skills unfortunately. I live in Denmark best regards Ewing1

I think to rebuild a 24v engine would cost a fortune now Ewing. The parts are very difficult to come by too to do a complete rebuild and labour costs alone would be financially restrictive. (does of course depend on how much you want to spend) Why not stick to what you have or even buy a decent 24v and swap the engines or just drive the 24v?

Hi Pinto. wow!!! thanks a lot for your help. this really opens up new perspectives for me. My scorpio is running very well (at the moment) but with 313000 kilometres I don´t suspect it to last too much longer. maybe 500000 if i´m lucky. I would love to have the 4.6 v8? do you think it will fit? I wonder what the price will be in Denmark as we have extremely high taxes on cars and everything related to cars I will definately read more about this. Thank you best regards Ewing1
