Hi all .......back to the forum have 2 new ultimas to play with. Thought I would go through the instrument checks ...the push the trip to get into prog mode. A question ,all seems OK except for the no.10 test FLO.   Both the 2.3 and the 2.9 24v show 0 with the engine off...when I tick-over both cars count up at about 1 second intervals 1,2,3 ect up to 26 for the 2.3 and 41 for the 24v before the 30 secs are up and the panel returns to normal? The info sheet says the cars should reach 6553 any ideas what this means  Huh thanks Kim Huh

If the car runs OK shouldn’t worry about it.
Have you only tested at tick over?
I assume you need to drive/accelerate to push the figures up.

Hello and welcome Smiley

The figures you are reading are the fuel flow to the engine, your 24v is using roughly 50% more fuel in the same time frame as your 2.3 while both are at idle which is correct.

If you put your foot down while the FLO figures are showing the count will increase with the fuel flow.

I would imagine once its gets to 6553 it will reset to zero but I dont think you will ever see this figure as the test resets to zero every time you access it.

The manual says each increment is equivalent to ten fuel pulses from EECV I'm not sure if the figure relates to an actual fuel volume or if its just a decimal reading

anyway, everything is working as normal Smiley

kim.
There is no doubt that bad looms and over zealous electrics are the Achilles heel of these otherwise robust and reliable cars.Too clever too early I reckon  Sad
