I have a problem with the wiring on my 24 valve. I am  confused with the wiring colours below. The number in brackets; is that the firing order or the position from the front of the engine. As my injector wires are no longer numbered I am not sure how to sort it out.
Appreciate any help.

Thanks for your help. As most of the injector wires have now been recovered with tape as the insulation was falling off, I am now in reverse from the c110 plug and going on the colours I am have difficulty understanding the diagram?

95  [100]  30  BK/OG  Injector 4   (INJ4)  Inlet Manifold C875 Pin 1
93  [73]  12  BK/GN  Injector 4     (INJ5)  Inlet Manifold C716 Pin 1
94 [99]  3  BK/RD  Injector 4     (INJ6)  Inlet Manifold C875 Pin 1

Is 93 BK/OG injector 4 OR 5 Huh??
Is 94 BK/RD injector 4 OR 6 Huh?
Or why are there 3 injectors numbered 4

I would think 4, 5 and 6 are correct and the three 4's are for 4 cylinder engine looms

bilcar.
On a loom I have here the colours are:- 1 black/white,2 black/yellow,3 black/blue,4 black/orange,5 black/green and 6 black/red.Obviously all the wires with violet on them are a common ground. The cylinder numbering as quoted by Highlander are of course correct, however I have read somewhere that although the leads are all numbered,at least two of them are not fitted to that particular cylinder, unfortunately I am unable to find the quotation which is somewhere buried on this site  Huh I once remade a 24v engine loom making careful note of which colours had which numbers on,but should have made a note of which colours went to each cylinder, when the engine was put back together it misfired presumably due to my inattention to this. The car is still unused, and is gradually being robbed for parts, the problem never having been solved  Cry Someone on here must know the whereabouts of the relevant article, which is really what you need before burying your loom back under the intake gear !

just to add, think all violet wires are the common positive, all the black ones are the switched earth from the ecu.

Hi Gozz Thank you for your response.
I think you must be thinking of the article HO2S MONITOR at the end of the article it tells you injector cable connections.

INJECTOR CABLE      connects to       INJECTOR

  1               1
  2               6
  3               5
  4               4
  5               3
  6               2

Which confuses me more. Am I being stupid?

just done my loom, you will find as stated here that the injectors and  one more sensor share the same common positive. the other wire from each inj is controlled by ecu to earth. if loom is off car with all crappy trunking and tape removed, half hour head scratching and it aint too bad!!!  Darren

Bill.
No of course you are not being stupid, that is indeed the very article to which I referred, well spotted  Cool There you can see that the numbers on the wires bear little relation to the cylinders, only numbers one and four ,you can hardly imagine such a daft arrangement Shocked.
Just as an aside Martin is correct in saying that the common linked cables(violet) are live, and that the ECU connects to earth each individual injector in sequence. As a matter of interest the Cologne 12v fires each complete bank together and not in sequence, therefore although the cables are correctly marked you could transpose any one on each bank.
