i have a 95 2.0 ultima.strange prob when the weather gets cold the battery loses some power.battery only 18months old.it has been tested and is fine.recently went into hosp for 5 days when came out battery was totally flat!!!.tested it and it had 3 volts in it!!.my mechanic took it away and recharged and drop tested it and it was fine and put back. i went to start it and she went 1st time,so i ran her for 10 mins to warm the car up.turned ig off and thought will just try startin again but to no avail.she just would not fire at all. left it and tried again with same result ,no go.followin day went back and battery totally flat again.HELPPPPP.

What rating is your battery? Sounds like an alternator failure though, can your mechanic check it for you?

The details of what you need are Here. A lesser capacity just will not handle the output required by these cars.
