I have got my car all back together but cut a corner and now I am stuck. I have fitted a new dizzy cap and leads and I didnt note where the others went. So I need to know which spark plug on each side goes to which lead number on the dizzy cap before I can see if my work has been any good.

Numbers 12&3 are on the offside bank(front to rear) and 45&6 are on the nearside, front to rear. The two leads at the rear of the distibutor nearest the bulkhead are left, number 1,and right number 4.The distributor turns clockwise and the firing order is 142536.I trust this is clear. GOZZ.

I must have naffed the car up then. Still wont start. Its hard to see if there is any numbers on the dizzy cap at all. What your saying is if I stand at the front of the car looking towards the back the cylinders on my left are 123 and on my right 456. Yes. Also in that order been 1 front left near the rad and 4 been front right near the rad.

That,s quite correct.I suppose that you are aware of the 12v engine loom problem, whereby the three signal wires from the distributor to the PCM degrade and send false signals ? GOZZ.

Nope, it was fine before and I have only unpluged it. I am going to put some fuel in as its quite low and then go from there and see how it goes
