Hi all. Tried everything and is out of ideas. My 24v motor stops when hot!!! Have put in a new fuel pressure valve at the injectors front, new plugs, new fuel filter, checked the lambda sensors, had it on computer without any errors at all. Runs fine when cold... getting warm is jutters, sets out and is impossible to start before after several hours. Tried new fuel relay, doubblechecked all fuses, made sure deadmans button in the back is fully pressed, repaired front loom from the plugs and into the side plug of the moter. Cleaned MAF, tried a working distributor with edis, tried another ECU, im totally out of ideas. Could it the fuelpump cutting out after a while works fine when tested and gives 3 bar pressure... Injectors all seems fine... Please help me out. Regards Jonas from denmark.

I remember a similar problem on a 16v caused by a problem with the signal from the ECU to the Fuel Pump Relay. This signal provides a 12 volt supply to the pump safety switch and then to the pump. This signal is provided from the EDIS unit to the ECU Basically it was a damaged wire in the loom between the EDIS and ECU which overheated after a short time running, dropped the signal and cut the engine. It would take hours before the car would restart, sometimes it had to be left overnight, at which time it ran perfectly again until the wire warmed up and again it would suddenly cut out. Sound familiar? Will have a look later for the exact wire and ECU terminal for the 24v and you can try and bypass it.

Well in the case i'm thinking about i'm pretty sure a single wire was spliced in to the EDIS multiplug and routed round the engine bay through to the ECU rather than trying to remove and repair the original wire.

Continuity test when the car is in 'no go' mode between the edis and the ECU socket under the glove box.Work by wire colours and consult a wiring diagram if necessary. GOZZ.

Didn't quite work for me! Any one knowing the color of the wire from the box to edis? At the ignitioncoil there is 4 wires. One of them must be the one to the controller unit. But does anyone in here know which one? Cheers Jonas
