Airbag / Horn assembly loose

Hi

I noticed when driving a little knock from the steering wheel when turning full lock and back again.  Then another time it happened again, the Airbag warning light illuminated, I took a closer look at the steering wheel and found the assembly to be loose.

Should I mess with this or take it to a garag£? Huh  I can almost pick the horn assembly up off the wheel but there is a small final resistance to this.

Advice appreciated!  Thanks Smiley

Have a read of THIS page. It is a simple exercise to retighten the screws holding the unit. Just be sure to follow the instructions and you will need to turn the wheel through 90degrees to access the screws. Wink

THIS page may be worth a read as it details the 'codes' flashed by the warning light. Wink

It's an old topic but...

If the light flashes (fast flashes, no pauses etc), but is 'fixed' by hitting the steering wheel hard, can it be anything but the multiplug described above?

I recall that this cropped up last year (hitting the dash) and a member cant recall who said they were going to check it all out to see why light goes out on hitting dashboard. So far not seen anything.
