Roof lining material coming away

Could anyone suggest the best way to stick the roof lining material back on to the liner. The guy I bought the car from had it standing around rarely used over a period of two years and I suspect the summer heat?? caused it to peel away in some places including the sunroof. Tried a spray glue used for carpets but to no avail. Repair or replace the complete lining? Any help would be appreciated.

Might be tricky to replace on a saloon without damaging it if the windscreen is still in place - easier on an estate Contact a local trimming / upholstery business to see what they recommend. I had the headlining on my Sierra hatchback re-covered several years ago - the fabric was sagging and dirty - trying to clean it made it worse The cloth has a foam backing which rots and breaks away from the adhesive and fibreboard backing. Took a while to scrape the old stuff off, and it is a bit messy so an outdoor dry weather job. Got a local trimmer to re-cover it in a very nice BMW fabric and it still looks good today. Cost about £60 back in 1996 I think.
