Hi all, i have got a 2.9 scorpio cosworth, last week i parked the car as usual, at 12.30 at night the alarm went off so got out of bed and went to switch it off but wouldnt go off with the fob so i tried to unlock it and fob wouldnt unlock car. Next day had a friend of mine to help so he used the wire trick and unlocked the car, went to open the door and it still wont open (none of the doors, boot etc), probably got a flat battery now but cant understand why the doors wont open Huh??, please help,

If you press the button on the remote more than ten times out of range it loses it's code, so you will have to get back in the car to re-program it. If your car is double locked i don't think you can use the wire trick to open it. Maybe someone will come along who knows how to open the car another way.... But i think that's a bit hush hush.......... HTH

No Sorry can't help with your problem, Suggest keeping the locks lubricated with graphite and use them at least once a week. Check the batteries in the remote(s) and reprogramme them every few months.

I used to use the key in all the doors every week to stop the locks seizing up. Just in case the remote stopped working.

The method of opening the car I send out is in EXTREME cases ONLY and not for every day use.

Suggests keys and/or locks broken? I.e. worn out

No the locks are shielded against such things

This is why you MUST have at least one working key and lock
