Hi All,

I just bought a 2.3 Ultima Estate on a P Reg.  Its a Cat C car as needs a front bumper and drivers side headlight.  I paid £50 for it and hope it will be a nice car once its done.  Problem is I cant get into the car.  The door locks are broken as the previous owner always used the fob and the battery has gone flat.  Is there anyone in the birmingham area who could help me open the bonnet one of the evenings this weekend so I can get the car home and get the work done?

Thanks

Andi

Hi andi

me and craig (tons of fun) are both in birmingham and just broke a car so we have the bits you need to!!

where abouts are you in brum?

the key should still open the doors, even if the battery has gone flat, you sure he gave you the correct keys?
try a bit of oil on the key shafts and wiggle them in the locks

Hi Matt, He says they are the right keys but he never used them except for the ignition.  I am in Northfield and the car is in Kings Norton.

I am free tonight if you want to come and look Smiley

Oh lol,

well if it comes to it ive got a spare door glass,

if we can hook the string in the boot with some wire will save a lot of agro as the bonnet catch its well hidden, the slam panel is 2 layers and the catch mech sits in the middle

Wouldn't have thought so but IF you could leave it connected for a a while it would put some charge in the battery. Never had to do it myself but I do know the method I gave you WORKS.
