Battery Light

Hi all, have a slight problem with the scorp 2.9i 12v.. Battery light stays on all the time when the cars running..
 
i have fitted a new battery and a new alternator but it hasnt fixed the problem.
 
does anyone have any ideas of what else it could be?

What type of battery i.e Ah and what type of alternator have you put in........ Is the battery light bright while the engine is running.... or is it a dim light....  going brighter whilst reving the engine or does it go dim whilst reving the engine.........

the alternator is the the one that came with the car i had it reconditioned and checked , the battery  
was from halfords as per the spec for the car .

check the terminals when i had the alternator on my 2.5d rewound there are three terminals on the alternator only two wires i wired it two the wrong terminal battery light stayed on changed over and out she went

also i check the wires again .

Hello nige when the light goes dim when reving the engine that indicates the alternator output is lower than the battery output, Whilst the engine is running the battery and the alternator voltage should be the same HTH
