Hi there, I have a Ford Scorpio 3.9 auto estate which is currently not running, leaving me without transport as the auto. gearbox coolant pipe, which passes through the radiator has sprung a leak in the metal section. Has anyone got any tried and tested suggestions to rememdy this problem (other than replacing it with a new pipe, which I believe is very expensive). Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I

If the rusty bit is in an accessible place you can cut it with a pipe cutter and put a piece of petrol pipe over it with a couple of hose clips, the pressure is low as it just circulates the oil out of,and back into the transmission. GOZZ.
