Hi all newbie here already member of other sites ie cougar forum but have a 97 ultima 2.5 td manual great comfy car a dream to drive but reciently a problem arised while driving along all is fine then a hessitation as if switched off then fires up and same again . it dosent happen every day but intermitten have changed fuel filter changed oil plus oil filter but problem still there any advice welcome . . millage only 86 thou

I had the same symptoms on chevrolet 6,2 diesel engine. This was caused by a worn dieselpump. I know it`s not the same engine, but it is still a diesel.
