Washer bottle pump?

Dunno the proper name.... Anyhow... I'm not getting water to the bonnet jet thingy's.... I've disconnected the pipes at the bottom of the washer bottle & activated it. The motor sounds as if it's working fine but all there is, is a trickle of water. Poked in the holes to no effect. Is there anything else i can try before asking a garage to look at it? It's not the easiest thing to get at.... BiLL

Hi Bill, probably gunged up with washing up liquid or rubbish. Its just a push fit into the bottle with a rubber grommet, pull it out and see if you can clean it out and empty the bottle. I have a spare one if you need it. Stuart

As Stuart says, pull the pump unit out. The rubber grommet which holds it in is also a filter which gets gunged up. Clean that off and it will probably solve the issue.

| New rubber grommets are 66p + VAT - I bought one a couple of weeks ago.
