Tony, didnt you have some sort of an ignition/lights issue before that you sorted out?

Headlight switch is all i can think of, shorting and sending a live back to the ignition?

Do you get any dash lights on when the ignition is off with the engine still running?

Found the other switch, looked at the one thats in the car, that looked ok but the connector block terminal 15 was burnt, tried the other switch in there and the same problem. turn on the lights and the ignition comes on, doors lock, would it be the connector block or some trouble in the wiring elsewhere. If it is the connector how do you get the wires out

If "burnt", quite likely some wire insulation has melted and you've got two wires touching that shouldn't be?

I've got a horrible feeling connectors are crimped and the contacts "locked into" the plug housing
