went 97 mile drive, thought it would surely be fully charged, im sure it always was, anyway, 5 hrs later alarm went off, so i left the car unlocked all night. im considering pulling the spade terminal out alarm horn, so if it goes off it makes no sound, i did this with my old mondeo estate, horn was in side panel off boot. where is alarm horn on scorpio, its diif from the standard horn, i know my alarm is ok, cos the red light flashes and goes off shortly after key in ignition unlike my old mondeo which red light stayed light.

The alarm horn is just behind the battery, you can just get to it with the battery in situ.............

in theory how long will alarm sound before it stops, i understand its 30 secs, but will it just repeat cycle again and again, so i have a choice disconnect spade or leave doors unlocked. last night i ran down stairs, no clothes on opened door and pointed remote like mad at scorpio, gave up, ended up using key, middle of night. prob woke up neighbours update pulled out spade terminal, hope it dont do any harm

| Just remembered simplest thing to do is unplug the bonnet switch, that disables the alarm. Can lock it as normal then. When this bit of welding was done, where was it?

On mine the 2-pin cable connector was undone and loose when I got it, could be it's tied / clipped up somewhere (?)
