Injectors 2,0 16V and 2,3

Hi,
one of the injectors of my 2,3 engine is leaking. Gives a quite fine backfiring noise when startin after a cold night.
The numbers on the injectors of the 2,0 16v and 2,3 are not identical.
I have a set of injectors in fine condition from my old 95 2,0 16v. Does anyone know if I can replace the wrong fuel-injector on my 2,3 engine by an injector of may old 2,0 16v engine?

Why not give it a try,you can't do any damage, presumably the 2.0L has a lesser fuel flow ?

If you do get any problems, then it might be an idea to put the 2.0 fuel rail pressure regulator on as well  Smiley

Latest news: I changed the motor-wiring yesterday and I think it should have been done weeks ago because that was the reason for all the trouble! The former owner told me, that the wiring had been replaced 4 years ago (from now) by his mechanic but I think that was a fake. When detaching the connectors, the isolation of the wiring fell into bits and pieces. By the way: it was a nice peace of work except replacing the connectors for the crankshaft-sensor and that little round connector sitting below that air-intake system.
Now the car runs like hell.
