My remote does not open or close doors but works fine on the boot I have taken it apart as per the tutorial and cleaned and fitted new batts any suggestions please?

sounds like the contacts arent working for the lock/unlock buttons Have you tried shorting them directly with something conductive while the remote is apart? there should be a conductive coating on the inside of the rubber buttons but it wears off
