Its a 10mm allen key Give them a good clean out so the allen key can sit in there properly to prevent it from rounding off then a persuasive tap with a copper mallet should do the trick. Failing that a length of bar on the end of the allen key... Remember to use a new copper washer and tighten it to about 30Nm. If all else fails an old electric fuel pump with a small piece of flexible hose can be used to suck the old oil out through the dipstick. I've seen it done on newer cars but i've never tried on the Scorpio. Matt

I'm sure its a torx bit?. I used a big bar and the torx bit broke! But there are two since I had one undone didnt bother with the other.

The Ford standard issue bolt comes with a 10mm allen head. It may be that sometime in the past the allen key has slipped and gouged out the flats to make it look like a torx bit or its been replaced with a non-standard part.
