Whats the best grease to use on the spindley ball & socket auto selector rod ? i was going to remove it and pack it with copper grease but i am unsure how long that will last with the heat from the downpipe ? thanks;)

I reckon the best thing is to oil it now and again and wiggle it to work the oil in. GOZZ.

Just normal LM grease will do as long as you'll have no touching specific heat. MS3 might be better, but grease will liquefy and then return to it's solid state when cooled, so you should be ok.
