Good morning,this is my first post on here since joining,and im having an intermittent problem with my car.Its a diesel 2.5td scorpio estate,every now and again,if im cruising above 50mph,i lose all acceleration,revs drop off,and car slows.If i press on the accelerator it goes flat to the floor,then after 5or 10 seconds revs pick up and im away again.There can be weeks or months before it happens again.But yesterday it happened twice.slowing down at a roundabout,car cut out steering goes heavy,and i coasted to a stop.Turn off engine,restart again no problem.Car is an automatic with apprx 150k on clock.Apart from that car is superb.Any other members experienced this,im not car friendly,just basic hands on stuff.Thanks.
