Sorry to hear your motor failed it's MOT and sorry you shelled out so much cash for the wishbones . Although from now on this forum will help you save money . Ebay can supply you with new front and rear Mintex sets for around 70-80 quid for both. There are wishbones on ebay as well and some members might have them; maybe return the Ford ones??. Anyway, welcome to the best site for scorpios. Lee

Was it the wishbones themselves or could it have been the bushes?

I have been told it was the ball joint on the end of the wishbone have perished, and you can't just replace them.

| Misunderstanding here - Mintex don't make the wishbones but do make discs & pads. I've found them cheaper on www.buypartsby.co.uk than on ebay

Star sign is Scorpio ! Sierra XR4i's are great...especially when fitted with 4WD

Sorry Mike The pads and discs sets on ebay are cheaper than buypartsby factoring in the delivery charges, I've checked. It may be only a pound or two, but cheaper none the less.

I personally would and did, but for your own piece of mind look on www.buypartsby.co.uk and compare with the set of discs and pads together on ebay. A couple of pounds difference in the total cost. Lee

Unfortunatly I have already paid for the pads and they have been fitted, just lookin for discs front and back. I will check out buypartsby when I have the money available. Cheers for the info.

Well got me baby back today all passed but had to pay £270 for wishbones and £100 for 2 MOTs as I ran out of time after the first. I have been adviced that the sills are on there way out. The rear arches could do with some TLC as well. So if I want to keep my Scorpio on the road I need to start saving. Could be the end of the road this time next year if it needs to much doing.
