hi,is there any way i can check the level of the automatic transmission fluid?I have a 2.5 td ghia estate,and the owners manual does not show a dipstick indication for this.Thanks for any help.

The dipstick is usually on the offside of the engine near the bulkhead,the box should be at full operating temperature,the general idea is to select all the lever positions,then with the selector in N or P,and engine still running, pull the stick out,wipe it on a clean cloth,then dip again,the oil should be at least between the two marks,when the engine is not running the level will be right up on the wire because the oil runs back into the pan. GOZZ.
