Engine not turning

Good morning all. My red S reg facelift cosworth, having been parked in a garage for a few weeks, will not even turn the engine despite appearing to have an adequate battery (the central locking still works and the mileage trip has not reset). The key turns but nothing happens. Any one got any quick tips to try before I call the AA? Thanks Matt.

Hi, there were lights on the dashboard and I had tried moving the gear selection lever and got the warning noise when I was not in park. However, when I went to check for any PATS lights just now it started first time! Am a bit puzzled to say the least but at least I can start the car now! Thanks again for the suggestions.
