Does anyone know how many Tensioners there are on the Granada Scorpio 2.3 Estate ( 1998 ). Car originally went in for broken Fan Belt but needs tensioners also, which they are having trouble locating. Are they all the same or specific to each car model and how many are there?

Hi Reg, The main drive belt (It doesnt run a fan) has one tensioner. (picture opposite section 23 shows the spanner on the tensioner pulley bolt) http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/engines/dohc2_3/2300Remove&Inst. pdf The 2.0 16v and 2.3 Scorpio engines use the same one and I would have though most of the other Ford 16v engines would be the same. p.s. your car is not a Granada, it is a Scorpio, the Granada ended production in 1994. this causes a huge amount of confusion even in the parts trade who still confuse the two and will help you source the correct parts a LOT quicker
