Hello I have the following problem After 2 days of rain, i started the 2.9 24V everithing ok, the blower motor doesn't work it was squiking for ages aa no problem will change some day. The intersting part now the engines runs as before until 4000rpm when the rpm indicator drops to 0 the engine misfires and drops, the the indicator raises and catches the engine going down to aprox 2000 rpm. Both on N or D or 1 or 2 from auto gearbox. Standing or riding. The engine has 220.000 km ~ 140.000 miles, with some rattle form distibution. What can cause this and also if you have some advice about the blower, the fuse 25 amps nr 29 is ok. Kind Regards Radu

Similar problems can be caused by faulty lamba sensor/s

Sounds like general dampness in the electrics, maybe a long run to warm it up and dry it out might help

Maybe yrs will check with scanner. Regarding blower motor. Checked rezistor 12v supply ok 5 to 1.7v ok from inside. Output ok. Checked continuity to motor and it conducts so that is the problem. 1 question after studing the procedure here if i cut the housing when i put it bag the water will not enter inside? Kind Regards Radu

I’ve not had a problem with water getting in, I ran some hot melt glue over the cuts (probably better to use mastic). If you have aircon it gets wet in that area anyway, the drains will cope with any extra water getting in: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/acdrain.htm
