Problems buying new rubber gaiter.

When I changed from winter to summer tires I discovered that one of the rubber gaiters on the drive shaft was broken. I went to my Ford dealer to buy a new one, but when I should mount the new one it was wrong.

The rubber gaiters I got from my ford dealer were for driveshafts with constant-velocity joints with 100mm flange and 86mm bolt circle diameter. On my car an early 1996 2,5TD estate the constant-velocity joints has 107mmflange and 94mm bolt circle diameter. The shaft diameter is about 31mm.

When I went back to my Ford dealer to get the correct parts he has serious problems finding them because the original part number is replaced by a replacement part.

So my question is: Is there someone that has two new rubber gaiters for Scorpio diesel for sale or has the correct part number or know where to buy new rubber gaiters?

Which Scorpio models use the constant-velocity joints with 100mm flange and 86mm bolt circle diameter and which models use the constant-velocity joints with the107mm flange and 94mm bolt circle diameter?

The smaller engined cars,2.0lt and 2.3lt have the smaller CV joints and the 24v 12v and diesels have the larger one.You could get some multifit ones from a factor or decent motorists shop, they are trimmed down to fit any car.

I always keep a 1.3 Astra and a 1.6 Astra front CV boot and have found that these 2 will fit just about any vehicle.............

Better than the multifit ones too and available at any factors  Wink
