Hi !
-96 DOCH 2.0-16V Aut.

Suddenly starting the engine to varying at idle speed between 1000-2000rpm, it only happen when I start engine and the car are not moving.
After a while are the engine running normally.

I have checked with my OBD tools and no Fault Codes are detected, however the calculated load value increase from normally 20% at idle to over 90% when this error occur (large amount of black smoke coming out of the exhaust)  Huh

Any tip - where to start !

Simple test, unplug the MAF then see if it behaves more normally.

Yes, finally I have found the fault after hours with annoyingness......  Tongue;D

Faulty wiring from the TPS (throttle position sensor) was the problem, but the defect wiring only happen occasional, mostly when starting the car......
New wiring from TPS to port 89 and 90 at the PCM and the problem was solved.
This is the second time with faulty wiring, first time it was the VSS (speed sensor) who troubled.

I had't found the fault without the OBD tools that I bought from China for below $25 incl. shipping. Wink
