fan speed goes on/of by self

hi all
every minute or so fan turns of and on by it self , doesnt matter if i set fan control to auto,minimum,medium or maximum , it works fine for a minute or 2 then turns completly of then in few minutes it again turns on .
any suggestions ?

Hi this is a common problem with these cars at the age they are now, I had the same problem and after changing, testing and trying other various suggestions the problem still existed, what i done was to follow the instructions How To Do Things, there is an article that describes perfectly how to get to the blower motor and make a reasonable repair a little fiddly but but now it works, had no problems since Good Luck.

Might I be right in thinking the A/C wears the fan out faster than otherwise cos it keeps using it?

well looks like my fan is working great for 4 days now
here is what i did "Programming the Control Unit"

i took me 3-4 tries before i got it right ... last "calibration"i did the blower didnt work at all , but tomorrow when i started the engine it was blowing
 ... 4 days after fan is working like i set it to blow , hope it will stay that way
