So have I !. Wait till Scorpioman appears as I'm sure he has done a write up on it. Essentially you need to remove it,clean the shaft and lubricate it. May need a new gasket when you refit.

hi there
that's really all there is to it.
3 in 1 oil is best as wd40 can be a bit 'sticky'.
