When I park my Scorpio facing uphill and it rains I get water into the car. No problem with the car facing downhill. The front drains are free but I cannot find the rear drains. I believe thjey are located somewhere behind the rear wheels. Help appreciated.

Where does the water appear in the car? is it actually dripping from the sunroof? Another favourite spot is the large grommet at the nearside where the wiring from the fusebox runs through the bulkhead. Are your fusebox drain holes clear?

| You need to remove the boot lining (or at least pull it away from the top) the drain 'pipe' comes over the top of the wheel arch and goes down to the boot floor at the back of it, on the end of the pipe there is a rubber valve thingy, this generally gets blocked with crud, if you squeeze it the end will open up revealing said crud. Bit like squeezing a zit really

When I park the car facing uphill it looks like the rear drain holes are blocked so the water collects at the rear of the sunroof. When I drive if I break suddenly I get the collected water down the back of my neck. I will have a look at the drain pipes to see if I can free them. I presume it is the same location on the estate.

Another method is to push a length of curtain wire or single strand of electrical wire...the solid core type...down the tube.

Deffo points to a blockage then. If they're working and you park uphill you should get damp patches on the ground behind the rear tyres. Problee bits of rust off the glass frame I wouldn't be surprised. PS just as likely the water can be condensation, not exclusively rain getting in.
