Just lately I've been having rather a lot of condensation on the inside of the windows in the Scorpio - mainly early morning & late evening. Any ideas what might be causing it

Mike, have you checked the pollen filters ?. If the cover is not properly fitted water will leak in and once wet they are likely to have the efect you mention. I take it there are no signs of water on the carpets in the passenger side....grommet from Auxillary fuse box....or round the dreaded heater matrix.

OK, had a good look around, vacuum motor looks good - pollen filter cover correctly fitted, changed filters while I was in there. Carpets dry in both footwells. The braided earthing strap from the rear of the cylinder head to the bulkhead disintegrated when I touched it so had to fit another from the spares supply. What idiot put the earthing strap fixing bolt on the REAR of the cylinder head - there is very little room to get any tool in there so I just fitted it to one of the cam cover bolts. Also the plastic vacuum pipe to the EGR snapped - must have been very brittle - fixed with a bit of screenwasher tube for now. Will see what tomorrow brings...

| LOL, the weather? I've always had misting up and condensation but nobody believes I don't have "a problem", it's just high humidity, and we have had a lot of mist and fog lately. Reminds me turns out next door's front garden had a water leak for god knows how many years so that might explain the damp conditions in our own frontage.

Check the seal at the top of the doors thats fitted to the roof. The lip it sits on rots allowing water in, Also check under the car to see if any grommets have fallen out

Checked the seals at the door / roof - no nasties found there. Funny thing is - Thursday, no condensation, Friday different story - BUT noticed a lot of other cars at the station car park with the same problem. l am beginning to wonder if it is just the weather we've been having lately, humidity etc... I have put some of those condensation absorbers in the rear load area - in a large plastic box to catch any spills - to see if that improves things.

A couple of wee bags of 'Silica-Gel' on the parcel-shelf might do the trick. Go into a camera shop and ask if they've got any spares, they usually get loads of bags of them when they get deliveries.

| I rest my case Best way to dry it out is a long drive with the heater on. Or the other thing I discovered last Winter, a fan heater on the back seat, worked a treat that did
