The back of my electrically operated front seat of my scorpio won’t recline or go forwards anymore. The seat itself will go forwards and backwards ok. Will this be a problem with the seat switch http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/interior/seat/fseatswitch.pdf or the seat motor? Thanks in advance Tony

It could also be one of the connectors under the seat. It’s possible for them to get disturbed when moving the seat. They should be clipped into place & the cables arranged neatly to avoid them snagging. See here and note the warning about the pyrotechnic pretensioner connectors/airbags (usually yellow plugs). http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/seatsmanual.htm If it’s the memory type (hi) Undo 2 forward facing bolts just below the padding of the seat & tip the seat back to access the plugs, if you still have the plastic rear seat runner guards unscrew them first or they’ll probably break. Also check the plugs to the multiplex module, I think I’ve seen posts about a faulty multiplex module causing this.
