Pete. If it is the breather pipes under the Plenum then there are two pipes interconected forming an H. the front ones go from one side of the inlet to the other (suction). the rear pipe goes from the right hand Cover to the A/C Evaporator.

I thought that seperating the two would make no difference to the Engine performance. Wrong. she was not happy; revs up and down and stalling  Undecided.  I re-instated the H configuration. One happy Cossie  Grin.

I hope this helps Pete

Thanks mike, that does explain a lot. Seeing as i dont have an A/C evaporator ive got a bit of a prob... Huh. Will try tee,ing into the air filter, see if that makes a difference.  Yeah £220 i paid as well, the tester said my emmissions were that good  he thought it was hybrid...lol. Cant help thinking rip off...

Glad to be of help Pete. I have just been looking through the AC Manual "Evaporator Housing" and it looks like the vacume hose goes into the Vacume Accumulator. I traced the hose by hand and may have got my components slightly mixed up, not sure but it is raining Cats and Elephants at the moment and I won't expose my Beastie to the elements.

I'm a complete novice in Auto matters so I can only guess that the vacume created by the engine has something to do with the AC and its interecomunication with the running of the Cossie engine  Undecided I give up! - me mind is boggling  Undecided

Let me know what happens Pete, I'm intregued now

That "To Be Confirmed" goes to the air con flap actuator via a solenoid IIRC  Wink

Don't mess with, put them back where they are supposed to go or you'll get all sorts of problems cropping up  Wink

I run them very differently on the Rally car engines, but then again that is running no EGR or can purge and runs on a V6 Mondeo EECV ECU  Grin

So blank off that hose? That would keep the vacuum OK?

"But like Scorps as well" would perhaps suggest he doesn't have one.
