lower arm / wishbone

Hi there, been getting a front end clunking going over speed bumps so had a look at the front suspension. Appears to be the n/s lower arm balljoint not the rear arm bushes (changed these some years ago). Question is are the lower arms available as pattern parts? Ford or ebay prices seem ridiculous for genuine parts. Garage checked for the parts and the parts suppliers said they could see a photo of the part coming up as a Firts Line pattern part but could not check further as it was a weeekend. I'm thinking they have the old granada arms that are common but no good for the latter scorpio Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Have you checked the Anti-Roll-Bar ball-joints? They normally make the 'clunking-sound'. You'll be charged in the region of £170 for each wishbone in the UK, but there's a German firm that does them both for £166 including the 7 euros postage. I did mine last year, what a difference to the front of the car.

Hi all, thanks for your ideas. I will check the anti roll bar links as soon as I can. Funny that QH do the lower arms but can only be bought in Germany, thought they were a UK company May contact QH directly for an answer.

| Good luck. We've tried that before and I suspect you'll get the answer that there is no demand in this Country and those being sold abroad are as a result of a 'sell off' of older parts. Please let us know how you get on. Here are their details with the UK office.

The answer I got from QH was, you are quite welcome to purchase the items from Germany at those prices, we will not be adjusting our prices in this country!

| QH are a Welsh company,I went to my local factor some time ago, with whom I have dealt for 25 years, they looked in the book and stated that QH do not list the wishbones, when advised of the numbers and the fact that they were listed in the QH list on the internet, they just shrugged and looked mystified
