Mirror won't lower in reverse

Hi I've had the Scorpio of the road since January, as I've bought a mk4 mondeo diesel for daily use. I moted and taxed it 3 weeks ago for the next year. I've been driving at the weekends and just noticed that the mirror doesn't tilt down anymore, the battery did need replacing so I thought maybe there was a way to be reprogrammed also the one touch one the windows has stopped too is there also a way put this back too? Any help would be great, thanks...

The handbook is Here. Go to page 61 and it will tell you how to reset the windows. There is also a link to other pages re the mirrors so I guess that will solve that issue too. Please let us know how you get on.

Weirdly I replace the 2 front seats in the Scorpio as the driver electric motor packed up 18 months ago but only just got around to changing them, much better condition too, took the car out today and realised that the mirror has now started to go down again in reverse. Very strange they must be connected how.

It is most probably the control box under the seat which was at fault.

| If you look at the various diagrams Here you may be able to figure it out!. There certainly seems to be a link through the drivers door module but I'd guess Snoopy is right (of course !) in that the connections under the seat are crucial.
