Scorpio Ultima electrics

The on/off button on my radio model 7000 woud not switch off. The radio sometimes starts when I switched on the ignition but sometimes took a half hour before it came on. Then it stopped working altogether. I took out the 5a fuse no 8 and went to buy a replacement. I got into the car and the radio came on and will switch off without a fuse!. However the blower power windows and boot catch have now stopped working. Can anyone help please.

The radio has more than 1 feed so may well work without fuse 8.
I have a note about fuse 8 affecting other items but I don’t have it with me however I do remember it affected the blower & I think it may be used for the radio remote.
I’ve seen posts in the past on the mailing list about the on/off switch failing so that’s a possibility with yours.
Edit
Just pulled fuse 8 the temp on the CC works but the blower doesn’t, windows & boot don’t work and radio works but the radio remote doesn’t.

Just fitted new 5a fuse. Windows ,blower and boot catch working. Radio working but will not go off on push control.
