Jubilee Clips on 24 valve Plenum

The Jubilee Clips on the Inlet Plenum on my Cossies keep on backing off and I am at a loss as to how to stop this happening. Any ideas folks? It is driving me crazy. I tweak them up and off I go - the cars feel just great - light on the throttle and quick to respond to all I ask. A couple of days later the throttle feels just that little bit heavier and the cars just feel lazy. Another tweak and all is well again. Waaa!! I did manage to get a couple of proper Ford Clips but even these back off a little. Is it me getting weak on the tweak so to speak? I am loath to tighten them up with a spanner as I don't want to over-tighten them. I feel pretty sure that I am not the only one on to suffer this problem sooo I eagerly await your ingenious solutions. Happy Scorpying everybody. Mike

Glue would be a solution. But if they're new clips, rough them up a bit where the screw bites the clip with coarse grit emery. Get a junior hacksaw, and cut small grooves across the screwed bit, not too deep. That'll stop it dead!

Ooops . And thanks for the advice. Much appreciated, not least by my Cossies as they are much happier when not sucking in un-metered air. Mike
