More problems re Air con. I had the system re-gassed to the revised spec. If I set the controls to auto and low sometimes it would not blow cold for half an hour or so, and then only cool. I took it back to the garage they tested it and found the ambient air temp sensor was faulty. They fitted the new part. Their report reads- Supply and fit new ambient air temperature sensor. Clear fault codes. Air conditioning still not working. no power supply to compressor. Suspect fault on control module. Parts required Aircon control module part no. 1072144. and Heater Resistor part no. 1017490. They advise me that these parts are no longer available. Can anyone suggest where I might find these parts and will this fix the problem or should I forget about fixing the air con. Regards JLS 1936

Was the unit working before they re-gassed it?. Have you tried a CC reset The control module is connected to the control panel by a large ribbon cable which needs to be correctly fitted. Have they disturbed this?. The resistor they talk about is known here as the HBC (Heater Blower Control) and is a unit sitting in the top of the blower box under the bonnet.
